CPSA started in 2010 to provide education and outreach to communities in need. Over the years housing has became a more prevalent issue with our clients. The Board of Directors decided to open up innovative shelters homes to address the homelessness issues, and provide all the training modalities necessary. To achieve this goal, we have collaborated with numerous community partners to tap into a variable cornucopia of services. These services range from computer training, counseling, vocational trainings, direct employment, and other services. The ultimate goal is to successfully transition these families back into the workforce which will assist in getting them permanent housing.
We opened the Starlight Home in February 2020 after extensive renovations.
The Starlight Home is a 24 bed facility on about 4300 square feet of land in Richmond, Ca. This facility is for women with children.
We have recently secured property for a men’s facility in Richmond, Ca., that will house up to 75 homeless men. We will provide all of necessary services consistent with successfully transitioning people back into the workforce which will assist in getting them permanent housing.
